Three years after its launch, "Saints Row 4" finally has proper mod support. Steam Workshop support was added by Volition for the game on PC, enabling developers to create and install mods easier.
Players should expect various weapons to be added in the game, wardrobe and other user-generated whatnots. To recall, the most popular mod at the time of "Saints Row 4's" release was a Flamethrower Guitar. Members of the Steam community reacted positively to the addition at the time - a reception that hopefully would pattern the recent update.
"Saints Row 4" Update: What Took Steam Workshop So Long?
"There were many challenges in implementing Steam Workshop functionality since the game was not originally designed to support modding," Deep Silver announced via Steam. "It was all a labor of love for our fans, and we're incredibly excited to see the crazy content you come up with!" As a mark of celebration, "Saints Row 4" is on sale on Steam at 75 percent off this week and the next. You can get "Saints Row 4" at $3.74, and the Game of the Century edition for $5.
"Saints Row 4" Steam Workshop For Linux
While Steam Workshop support is only available for the Windows version, Volition says it is looking forward to announce the system for Linux soon, reports GameSpot. Both "Saints Row 4" and "Saints Row: Get out of Hell" were made available in 2015 for Linux and SteamOS.
"Saints Row 4" in Linux, whether from low to high settings, is remarkably smooth and vivid. Everyone should be able to play the game easily given the system requirements are not at all ridiculous; in fact, AMD is supported. A very solid FPS is in store, although some cut scenes have a lower frame rate. Still, the gameplay is superb at 1080p, which is regarded as the best possible "Saints Row 4" experience.
