It's going to be a long wait for "iZombie" Season 3 as the series has been given a midseason premiere. The official release date and some details about the new season have also been revealed.
The CW officially confirmed "iZombie" Season 3 premiere date, which will be on Apr. 4, 8 p.m. But that's not the only wonderful piece of information - it was announced that the new season will start with a two-hour episode. This means that fans will be treated with an extended hour of watching the adventures of Liv (Rose McIver) and her friends.
"iZombie" Season 3 is expected to feature Liv having to deal with a new threat - Andrea Savage's Vivian Stoll. It turns out that Vivian is head of Filmore-Graves, mysterious corporation, and aims to make Seattle a zombie capital. It can be recalled in the previous season that Vivian asked Liv whether or not she would like to join her zombie army. According to reports, it's likely that the protagonist will team up with Vivian just so she will know how the company works. Once Liv is inside, she might get the help that she needs to take the company down.
Meanwhile, major spoilers have revealed that "iZombie" Season 3 will welcome back Liv's ex-boyfriend Drake (Greg Finley). It can be recalled that the zombie hunk was killed in Season 2 when he turned into a Romero and Liv had to kill him to save her partner, Clive (Malcolm Goodwin). But before fans can get excited about the possible reunion of the cute pairing, it should be known that Drake will only appear as part of Liv's memory.
In "iZombie" Season 3 episode 10, Liv happened to eat the brain of a mentally-ill man. In his past life, he was haunted by his wife, whom he killed during a car accident, TVLine has learned. As fans would know, that would also mean that Liv will be haunted by her past - in this case, her moments with Drake.
Will Liv move on from Drake that fast or will she finally find happiness back in the arms of her ex-fiancé, Major (Robert Buckley)? Find out on "iZombie" Season 3 on Apr. 4, starting at 8 p.m. Regular schedule will be on Tuesdays, 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
