All eyes are on when Niantic will officially roll out “Pokemon Go” gen 2 and the speculated date of its release have been pegged for Dec. 7. This is up for confirmation and based on an internal memo that a Starbucks employee recently shared.
As covered in a previous post, a Reddit user caused quite a stir when he shared a claimed memorandum detailing the marketing campaign of Starbucks. There were some discrepancies such as the misspelled name (“Pokemon”) but all other terminologies on the leaked document seem to be well on point.
That includes the possibility of seeing some Starbucks branches serving as PokeStops and the company’s patented “Frappuccino” being the main one to be endorsed for the campaign, BGR reported. It will be interesting if “Pokemon Go” gen 2 does come out with Niantic expected to be burdened by special in-game events to make the most out of the Holiday season.
A big haul of goodies and rampant release of pocket monster spawns are expected this December though all of that could be integrated once the "Pokemon Go" gen 2 update is released. Niantic has been aggressive as of late, release one update after the other on “Pokemon Go”.
After their successful Halloween in-game event, the company has joined in the celebration of Thanksgiving which will be done from Nov. 23 to Nov. 30. Once December comes in, the big changes will be the ones most will want to learn more about as most will likely find themselves busy capturing new breeds of Pokemon and taking up Niantic’s activities for “Pokemon Go”.
Will all these kick off on Dec. 7 as well? For most, the important thing right now is seeing the official changes for “Pokemon Go” and see if these are good as hyped from the grapevine. For the meantime, daily quests and spawns will have to do before the ‘big one’ if officially introduced.
