Along with the "Watch Dogs 2's" 1.05 update on Nov. 23 is the activation of the seamless multiplayer feature on PS4 and later on Xbox One. Ubisoft had previously removed the feature pre-launch citing technical issues.
"Watch Dogs 2" Update: What Does Multiplayer Mode Entail?
The first phase of the seamless multiplayer mode should allow players to invite friends to co-op or find new co-op partners via the Multiplayer App. They can also infiltrate an opponent, search targets for Bounty Hunts or start a bounty on themselves. Ubisoft says that if everything goes well for the newly updated "Watch Dogs 2," the final phase for the seamless multiplayer mode will be turned on soon, reports GameSpot.
Granting that Ubisoft will activate the remain portion of seamless multiplayer in the near future, Bounty mode will occur seamlessly in-world sans the app. "Watch Dogs 2" players will get themselves acquainted with other players to complete DedSec events and co-op missions.
"We'll continue to monitor the online stability of the seamless multiplayer features," said a rep for "Watch Dogs 2" via Reddit. "Thank you for your patience and support while we worked to implement the seamless multiplayer feature of the game. We will continue to provide periodic updates throughout this process," the rep added.
How To Report "Watch Dogs 2" Problems To Ubisoft
In an effort to uplift "Watch Dogs 2's" name after the botched launch, Ubisoft is encouraging gamers to report gameplay issues to agents in its Support Forum. The support staff will probe gamers for details concerning their issues and provide troubleshooting tips after.
Xbox One owners on the other hand can join the r/Watch_Dogs Reddit Community to address impending multiplayer issues. The update for Xbox One multiplayer modes hasn't been announced yet as of this writing, but "Watch Dogs 2's" seamless multiplayer for the platform should be available within a few hours.
