Netflix has announced that the new episodes of "Gilmore Girls: A year in the Life" will be premiered on Nov. 25. The Season 8 will be made up of 4 episodes of 90 minutes. The long-time followers of the show will be excited to know that all the stars of the original show are coming back. Lauren Graham and Alexis are onboard to reprise their roles. Scott Paterson has signed up as Luke Danes while Rory's best friend Kelly Bishop is onboard as Lane Kim.
According to reports, Melissa McCarthy will also be there as Lorelai's friend Sookie. The other returning stars are Matt Czuchry, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Winters, Todd Lowe, John Cabrera, Liz Torres, Emily Kuroda, Sally Struthers, Vanessa Marano and Sebastian Bach.
The loyal followers are expecting a lot from "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" as the end of Season 7 was not as anticipated by the viewers. Amy Sherman-Palladino was in the charge of almost every aspect of the first six seasons of "Gilmore Girls." However, the contract negotiation for the Season 7 came apart and Sherman-Palladino left the show. Subsequently, Season 7 was written by other writers and it lacked the vigor of the original creator, as per Rolling Stone.
In "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life", fans will see Lorelai and Emily dealing with Richard's death. All three of Rory's former boyfriends will be in the revival but some will have really short roles. Jared Padalecki will be there for only one scene While Milo Ventimiglia was in the trailer. The trailer also showed Lorelai and Luke together. But how long they will be together is a million-dollar question.
In the meantime, Rory's mythical final four words will be revealed and those words might not bring the closure expected by the fans. But it is to be assured that "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will refresh all the memories of the first six seasons.
