Apple launched the iPad Pro recently and one tablet that many had hoped for was the iPad Air 3. With the variant nowhere in sight, the word out is that the tablet could be among the devices set to be unveiled by the first quarter of 2017.
Like most of the devices that have come out, the iPad Air 3 is expected to be thinner and reportedly carry some of the features found in the iPhone 7, Neurogadget reported. This would include the dual-lens camera, an HD 4K screen display and possibly added navigation features brought in by the Apple Pencil. It remains to be seen if the 3.5 mm jack will be removed too.
Will it be the last of the iPad Air series?
For quite some time now, the debate on the fate of the iPad Air line has been debated. The iPad Air 3 may eventually be the last of the product line seeing how its predecessors didn’t fare that well.
That remains to be seen but seeing how the iPad Pro has been shaping up to be more interesting, it may eventually be integrated into the mix. The iPad Air 3 will allegedly be smaller, toting a 9.7-inch frame that could be closely similar to the one offered in the iPad Pro line.
Inside, the iPad Air 3 could boast of an A9 processor supported by 3 GB of RAM and storage options of either 16 or 32 GB. Pricing is still unknown for now though it could well be priced somewhere in the vicinity of $610.
Debuting together with the iPad Pro 2?
As mentioned in a previous post, there is a possibility of seeing the iPad Air 3 debut alongside the iPad Pro 2. Much of these are speculations going around so it may be best to take them lightly. Either way, expect a new tablet from Apple in 2017, hopefully, something that will not disappoint.
