It's been a long and arduous wait for "Prison Break" Season 5, whose fans have been waiting for the next installment of the series for eight years. Since Fox confirmed its return to television, several reports have been speculating about what could possibly happen in its fifth season, which would technically serve as a reboot to the series.
Several popular "Prison Break" Season 5 theories so far include Lincoln Burrows' (Dominic Purcell) death, as well as Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) and Michael Scofield's (Wentworth Miller) less-than-enthusiastic reunion. But which ones hold water? What should we expect in "Prison break" Season 5?
What to expect from 'Prison Break' Season 5
As fans already know, "Prison Break" Season 5 will be picking up from the events of "Prison Break" Season 4, when Michael Scofield was presumed to be dead. Instead, he is alive and well, but imprisoned in Yemen's Ogygia Prison after being framed by terrorist group Islamic State.
The new season will also be seeing a switch in character roles between Michael and his brother, Lincoln, who this time around will be the one busting his brother out from prison. But this task would not be easy, as the trailer for "Prison Break" Season 5 revealed. The jail bust involves an elaborate plan that is dependent on electricity failure, government collapse, and prison guards whose silence can be bought.
Endangering everyone's lives
For sure, Michael will successfully bust out of prison, if reports confirming his reunion in "Prison Break" Season 5 with his estranged wife Sarah is of any indication. It's unsure however if the prison break will be taking some heavy casualties, or if his escape from prison will be the last of it. Reports are speculating that Isis would eventually find their way with him and in turn, endanger the lives of his wife and his young son.
