‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Update: Niantic Issues CP Changes, Find Out Which Pocket Monsters Stats Flickered

A look at the pocket monsters currently available on “Pokemon Go” may show some changes, particularly in their CPs. Apparently, Niantic has done some tweaks to the critters, some moving up and others moving down.

Critters like Gengar were among the “Pokemon Go” monsters to get a boost, a chart of which has been put up over The Silph Road. The changes made were bent to render balance in the AR game, something that comes in time for Thanksgiving.

Aside from Gengar, other notable monsters who got a bump in CP include Hitmonlee, Fearow, Pinsir, Raticate, and Starmine. The batch of unfortunate “Pokemon Go” critters whose CP went down include Wheezing, Exeggutor, Golbat, Pidgeot, Seaking, and Wigglytuff.

The move is expected to draw a lot of irritated “Pokemon Go” trainers, particularly the ones who invested a lot to power up the affected characters. The consolation is that all the stardust used on the characters covered will not go to waste.

One critter that has benefitted from the CP changes is Eevee. The evolutions of this pocket monster on “Pokemon Go” has been tweaked, a move seen to justify its run of being the most dominant Pokemon seen in most gyms.

Looking ahead, there could be the reason as well for the CP bump. Eevee is reportedly set to get two more evolutions once “Pokemon Go” generation 2 comes out, hinting at this particular critter to be too powerful keep at their release levels, Slash Gear reported.

With that in mind, it may be wise for “Pokemon Go” gamers to keep an eye out on Eevee and capture as many of its kinds as you can. With more evolutions up and coming, stocking up on this Pokemon type will be a need.
