Today HTC in an event in Taiwan announced that the Bolt smartphone, which is already released for Sprint in the US, will be released for the rest of the world as the HTC 10 Evo. Other than the name the design and features will be the same for both the smartphones.
HTC has not introduced heaps of devices in 2016. The company introduced HTC Desire 10 Pro and Desire 10 Lifestyle earlier this year. HTC Bolt released on sprint recently and now the Taiwan-based company has announced a new smartphone, HTC 10 Evo. HTC 10 Evo will be a variant of the HTC Bolt, reported Android Headlines.
The HTC 10 Evo is made out of metal and its design is same as HTC Bolt. Both Bolt and 10 Evo are HTC's first metal unibody phones with the feature of water resistance, as per The Verge. This phone is also IP57 certified for water and dust resistance. It features A Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor, QuickCharge 2.0 fast charging and 3 GB RAM. It will have a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display and 32GB of expandable internet storage. Moreover, this phone will have 16-megapixel OIS shooter with BSI sensor, PDAF and F/2.0 aperture which will be placed on the back of HTC 10 Evo. There will be an 8-megapixel camera (BSI sensor) in the front.
While the HTC 10 Evo looks similar to HTC Bolt, the former has a larger and flatter design and does not have a headphone. Instead, it will come with a set of USB type-c headphones. HTC's BoomSound adaptive audio is also included in this headphone and is hi-res audio certified. It also has a hi-res audio stereo recording.
HTC has not announced the price for HTC 10 Evo yet. However, speculations are made that as its features and design are similar the price will be also the same as HTC Bolt.
