One of the newest feature of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is scanning QR codes to get the exact location of a Pokemon that a player has not yet seen. In addition, after encoding 10 QR scanner codes, the player will find a rare Pokemon of the area that they can catch.
How to Use "Pokemon Sun and Moon" QR Codes
A list of all the discovered QR Codes in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" has been compiled below so players can discover new Pokemon in the comforts of one location instead of going from one place to another in search of new QR codes to scan.
Each scan registers a different Pokemon species found in Alola Region into the player's Pokedex. Aside from information about the Pokemon, the player also sees where exactly the Pokemon is found and habitat in "Pokemon Sun and Moon". Pokemon from QR codes may reveal Pokemon that the player has already caught so its all random.
Scanning QR Codes
Player must take note that they are only allowed to scan 10 QRs each day in "Pokemon Sun and Moon". So it is recommended to choose wisely which Pokemon to register every day as the next opportunity is always 24 hours away.
Catching the Pokemon from QR Codes
After a location has been given from scanning a QR code, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will only give the player one hour to find it and catch it. This is why it is advised that players already have enough Pokeballs and any other item to make it easier for them to catch the Pokemon. Its also good to have a Pokemon with False Swipe ready, particularly when its in Melemele Island. Pokemon in this island are mostly low levels so players have to be careful not to hit too hard.
