In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, plenty of crossovers could happen because of the universe's connection which could probably happen in the upcoming "Ant-Man" movie. The "Ant-Man and the Wasp" actor, Michael Douglas, who portrayed Hank Pym also known as the Ant-Man who worked for SHIELD in the 70's, wants a movie crossover with Jeremy Renner, the Hawkeye.
Douglas recently said he is hopeful that there will be a moment in the future where Jeremy Renner would have the chance to be in the same Marvel film with him. The "Ant-Man and the Wasp" actor shared his wish at a golf tournament where he and Renner were teaming up for a cause.
One of the aspects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that is loved by fans is the fact that there are rooms for plenty of hero crossovers. We all know that crossovers are coming as Tony Stark will possibly be in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and the Hulk will appear in the "Thor: Ragnarok." Another crossover can take place with "Ant-Man and the Wasp."
In the first movie of "Ant-Man," Douglas recruited Scott Lang to become the new "Ant-Man" hero, and while he will likely appear in the movie's sequel "Ant-Man and the Wasp," there's no more any information about what chapters of the MCU will he appear again. Douglas hopes that when he gets to appear in another Marvel movie, he wants to do it with Jeremy Renner.
In a report of The Movie Network, Douglas says one of the joys of being in the Marvel family is they find ways of transitioning the character into other Marvel universe films. He is hopeful that he would have the chance to be in the same Marvel movie together with Renner. The actor has a major part in the "Ant-Man and the Wasp" movie, so there is great potential that the Ant-Man and Hawkeye crossover will happen.
The "Ant-Man" sequel, "Ant-Man and the Wasp", is set in between the next two "Avengers Infinity War" movies. Comicbook reports that it is scheduled to be released on July 6, 2018.
