After a few days of launching a repair program for the iPhone 6 Plus Touch Disease flaw, Apple today launched yet another repair program, this time for iPhone 6s users. The program is focused on users that are affected by a battery malfunction that causes their iPhone 6s to unexpectedly shut down.

A report cited that, said battery malfunction and unexpectedly shutdown of iPhone 6s devices applies only to a very limited unites of iPhone 6s gadgets manufactured between the months of September and October of 2015. Apple is offering a battery replacement, free of charge, to somehow solve the problem. Apple also wants to reiterate that it is not a safety issue any way. It only affects devices within a limited serial number that were manufactured between September and October 2015.

Twitter accounts that, If you feel that your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s is experiencing the same scenario, please visit an Apple Retail Store and have your gadget's Serial Number be checked to validate if it is eligible for a free battery replacement.

Based on Mac Rumors, Apple explains to anyone that iPhoneswith damages other than the unexpected shutdown, such as cracked screen, will not be eligible for the free battery replacement. On the other hand, those iPhone users who already shouldered the payments for the replacement of their batteries may contact the Apple Store Customer Support so they can file a refund for the cost of the battery.

Based on a report from 9to5 MAC, if you're an iPhone user check your gadgets immediately so that if there is a sign of battery malfunction or unexpected shutdown, head to the nearest Apple Store near you and have your battery be replaced with a new one for free.
