There is a brand new list of games that has been making rounds on the Internet obtained via the new Fable forums at Lionhead studios. The list has quite a few names that could see an announcement at the upcoming E3.
After the Fable forums at Lionhead studios opened up, a forum member called Curse of Scorn found a detailed image that shows a number of unannounced Xbox One games that will be revealed at Microsoft’s press conference. Apparently, the list also includes the confirmation of Fable 4.
The list of titles includes Banjo Kazooie Grunty Land, Halo: Spartan Assault, Forza Motorsport 5, Quantum Break and others. As far as a possible E3 announcement is concerned, Banjo Kazooie, Rare’s well known IP was previously confirmed via Polygon.
Halo: Spartan Ops has also been confirmed after Microsoft registered for its domain names. For the new Halo, Microsoft, as reported, registered the domains by way of DNStination Inc., which is a privacy service for MarkMonitor and of which Microsoft is a client.
Make note that Halo: Spartan Ops and Halo 5 have been posted separately. After all the speculations and rumors, the arrival of Halo 5 at the E3 won’t be that surprising to most Halo fans even if it does manage to get an official confirmation from either Microsoft or 343 Industries.
The claimed domains include SpartanAssault.net, HaloSpartanAssault.com, Halo-SpartanAssault.com, Halo-SpartanAssault.net and HaloSpartanAssault.net. MarkMonitor is also known for previously reserving Halo-related domains for Halo 7, Halo 8 and Halo 9.
Fable 4 has also been in contention for a while now. The heavily rumored title from Lionhead Studios was already expected to see some kind of an announcement via the upcoming E3, but with Lionhead already putting up a forum for the game, the only thing that remains now is an official confirmation (if not the release date or specific game-related information).
While we don’t know what the future holds for the next Fable game, the game is expected to arrive with more new weapons and combat. The game already boasts quite an impressive selection of melee weapons for close-quarters combat alongside the numerous types of spells, and the new Fable is expected to work on that. Added character customization is also on the cards.
Forza Motorsport 5, the fifth installment of the Forza Motorsport franchise, was recently announced for an arrival on the Xbox One. The game is set to return to the more traditional simulation-style format that we know so well from the previous Forza games. With an expected release date in Q4 2013, Forza Motorsport 5 will be just in time to get going with the Xbox One.
For those who don’t remember, Forza Motorsport 5 was also the first game shown by Microsoft during its Xbox One reveal stream.
Other games in the leaked list include the likes of Quantum Break, a game that looks like it could be something related to Dead Rising 3 or something to do with zombies. And since the list is just a screenshot, the other games in the list are not shown properly although our guess is that it will be something big.
The authenticity of the list will be determined as soon as Microsoft takes the center-stage at the E3.
