This year's Game Awards will be held on December 2016 Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater. The award is given to creators of games that bring the best experience to players as well as pushing creative boundaries in game making.
"Unchartered 4: A Thief's End" is one of the nominees for the overall Game of the Year Award according to Gamespot. Other nominees are "Doom", "Inside", "Overwatch" and "TitanFall 2".
"Unchartered 4" alone got eight nominations. The game is nominated for best direction, best narrative, best art direction and best game direction, to name a few. More importantly it is nominated for the Game of the Year award. Nolan North, Emily Rose and Troy Baker are nominated in Best performance for voice actors.
"Inside" got five nominations as well as the "Overwatch". The most recognized publisher on the other hand is Sony and it has 13 nominations. Other publishers like EA got ten nominations, Bethesda has six and Blizzard has seven. There are five nominations each for "Playdead" and "Campo Santo".
In all categories, there are 63 games in total that have been nominated. People who cannot attend the awards night on the said location can view the Awards Day via live stream. It will be held on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Microsoft Theater according to the official website of Game Awards 2016.
