Top Gear's former host Jeremy Clarkson has figured in another scandal. Reports of the sporadic presenter has surfaced indicating a verbal dispute after his crew missed a flight back to London. The TV presenter is the former host for BBC's iconic show "Top Gear."
Jeremy Clarkson & His Crew Arrived Late
Jeremy and his crew were filming for his new show "The Grand Tour" in Germany and was taking a flight back to London when the verbal spat happened with one of the Stuttgart Airport personnel. A spokesman from Reutlingen Police said that the incident could not be linked to Clarkson's inability to board a plane.
BBC surmised that the TV presenter missed calls for the flight. Clarkson and the crew reportedly stayed at the lounge and was not able to hear about the flight. They arrived late at the gate and Clarkson engaged in a verbal dispute with one of the airport's personnel.
Stuttgart Airport Denies Clarkson's Claims
The Sun reports that the airport personnel was identified as Manuel Pereira who, according to Clarkson, spewed profanities at the famous TV presenter and walked off. A spokesman from Stuttgart Airport has denied the claims, saying that the late arrival of Clarkson and his crew gave the signal for the airport to remove their luggage and withdraw their names from the passenger list. "At this point, there is no chance of boarding even if the late passengers show up," the airport spokesman said.
Clarkson said that Manuel Periera claimed that he was Argentinian and used a profanity bomb before walking off. The Sun, however, heared a different version as the airport personnel denies Clarkson's allegations and was in fact "polite and professional." This is not the first time Clarkson found himself in the news for his behavior. In 2015, the host was fired from "Top Gear" after attacking one of the show's producers.
