It's still a long wait for "Daredevil" Season 3, which is expected to air sometime in 2018, but fans got some hints as to what the new season could bring. Charlie Cox, who plays the titular character, has been candid about his desire to have his character face off with his archnemesis, Bullseye.
It was widely reported that Netflix will bring the notorious assassin in "Daredevil" Season 3. After all, Bullseye has always been Daredevil's most popular archnemesis and even Charlie Cox admitted that he can't imagine the show without Bullseye to make an appearance, even in just one season.
Just recently, the 33-year-old English actor reiterated that he wants "Bullseye" to show up in the "Daredevil" Season 3. "It's no secret, I've said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it, I'd like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point. I think it's a really interesting opportunity," Cox said at the recently concluded Wizard World in Pittsburgh. He also added that Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Daredevil's love interest, Karen Paige, won't be too thrilled if ever the series decides to go with a Bullseye arc. In the comics, Karen was killed by Bullseye, and if the villain will be in the new season, it could mean the end of Deborah Ann Woll's run in the Netflix series.
There's no confirmation if "Daredevil" Season 3 will introduce Bullseye. If that indeed happens, Jason Statham could have the potential to step into the role. It was reported by ScreenCrush that the action star was "deep in negotiations" to take the project, but it turns out that Statham as Bullseye won't be happening. There are, however, other actors who are considered fit for the role. They include "Game of Thrones'" Alfie Allen, "Once Upon a Time's" Sam Witwer and MMA Fighter Anthony Pettis, among others.
