The new "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC titled "Operation Red Crow" will provide gamers with a chance to play two new Special Assault Team (SAT) operators and a new Japan-themed map. The latest trailer unveiled the special abilities of two new game characters, while Ubisoft's newest patch update introduced new Elite sets, as well as bug fixes.
A new "Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Red Crow" video teaser released by Ubisoft though its YouTube page revealed some interesting information about the game's new Skyscraper map. It also gave fans a glimpse at its two new SAT operators namely Hibana and Echo, and their weapons.
Described as Team Rainbow's Attacker, Hibana wields an X-Kairos Launcher that deploys six "Breaching Pellets" in one shot. Once fired and attached to a wall, the pellets light up before blasting a hole on any surface.
As for Echo, Team Rainbow's Defender has a Yokai drone that can be used for reconnaissance and stealth missions. The quad-motor drone can silently hover on floors, as well as on ceilings, to capture enemy movements. The new "Rainbow Six Siege" operator can also use its "Ultrasonic Burst" feature to release soundwaves that can temporarily stop an opponent in his tracks.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft recently deployed a system update that introduced "Operation Red Crow" elements to the base game, new features, as well as bug fixes that include weapon balancing and more. Game developers have improved the game's destruction tool and reconfigured some of the weapon damages seen in "Rainbow Six Siege," according to an announcement posted on the game's official website.
Five new "Red Crow" weapon skins were also added, as well as a new customization series named Elite sets. The SAT operators Kapkan, Sledge and Thermite are the first three game characters included in the new "Rainbow Six Siege" feature. Apart from an operator card and operator name, the Elite Set also contains a signature victory animation, a charm, as well as a matching uniform with headgear.
In other news, avid fans of the "Rainbow Six Siege" gaming franchise can look forward to more gameplay features in future DLC releases. In a social media post, Ubisoft confirmed that it will continue to unleash new in-game content in 2017. Some of these features may include the gaming elements that fans stated they would like to see in the game following a September survey released by Ubisoft, VG247 reported.
"Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Red Crow" is scheduled for release on Nov. 24 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while Season pass holders can enjoy the game on Nov. 17. Watch the new trailer below:
