According to "Final Fantasy 7" remake updates, fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see the final remake of the much loved version of Square Enix's game. It seems that reports of the possible remake of the game may only be speculations or the game is still in the very early stages of development.
Shinji Hashimoto, the brand manager of the Final Fantasy series, discussed the future plans of their team at the recent event with Lucca Comics and Games held in Italy. He discussed the various plans of some of the biggest titles they're handling including the "Final Fantasy 7" remake.
According to reports, when the topic about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake for 2017 came about, Hashimoto responded that the reports were all rumors. He also added that the company has not mentioned or decided on a release date for the "Final Fantasy 7" remake.
Fans still has something to look forward to though, since Hashimoto proceeded to talk about how his team is working hard for "Final Fantasy 7." He has also appealed to all passionate "Final Fantasy 7" fans to have more patience. He promised that they will have to wait a little bit longer for updates. It was not mentioned though if they have started the production of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake.
The company is already planning the creation of a third addition to their highly popular "Final Fantasy" games, the "Final Fantasy X." This was decided after their successful release of the HD remastered, "Final Fantasy X" and "X-2." News about a "Final Fantasy 7" remake was not included though.
In previous reports, it was mentioned that Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of "Final Fantasy X" is already busy with planning of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake, together with character designer, Tetsuya Nomura. Fans will have to wait for final confirmation though if there is indeed a "Final Fantasy 7" remake or is it all just speculations and rumors.
