"NCIS" Season 14 is expected to be facing a cancellation following rumors that Mark Harmon will leave the show, just like former co-star Michael Weatherly. That being said, there are speculations that the film actor have other projects lined up.
Reports indicate that "NCIS" Season 14 ratings dipped after Harmon was rumored to be leaving the show, which led to speculations of a likely cancellation. There have been previous reports suggesting that the show is about to go off air after Michael Weatherly left, which saw a dip in the ratings as well. With a 1.92 rating in the 18 to 49 demographics, there was a 13.35 percent decline compared to the past season.
"NCIS" Season 14's feature of the death of a favorite character, Ziva David, in the past season was also reported to be the reason for the dip in the ratings. Not to mention the fact that the a number of fans has been waiting for the comeback of Michael Weatherly for the role of Anthony DiNozzo, after leaving the show to star in another CBS series, "Bull." Meantime, Harmon was awarded as America's favorite TV personality, dethroning comedienne and TV show host Ellen DeGeneres, who held the title for the last three years, according to report.
Meanwhile, "NCIS" Season 14 episode 7 entitled "Home of the Brave" will feature Torres as as she breaks protocol. When a witness in a particular case becomes wanted by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Torres breaks the standard protocol, risking his own career. Meantime, Bishop, Abby and McGee will try to persuade landlord Tony DiNozzo Sr. to allow them to sublet his apartment.
