The popular "Dota 2 Monkey King" video game announced a brand new hero that will be added into the game. The newest hero is called Sun Wukong, the Monkey King.
Sun Wukong, the Monkey King is based on the legendary character from the Chinese classic novel "Journey to the West." He is the first original hero made for "Dota 2 Monkey King." All current heroes were just ported from the original "Dota" unlike Sun Wukong. The Monkey King is scheduled to be released on December 12 or December 17 of this year.
The Monkey King, Sun Wukong, has been used and appeared in many major Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). In his upcoming version in "Dota 2 Monkey King," his power and abilities are still uncertain. However, these abilities are not very far from his abilities in the other versions of the game.
A recent teaser video of the "Dota 2 Monkey King" new hero shows similar moves which hints on what we can expect. The Echo Sweep, a move performed by a single illusion now appears to be used by Monkey King himself, The Flicker, a quick dash that leaves up to six illusions or clones that automatically attack anyone in range, and the Cloud Dance, an ability that can lock an opponent in place and surround them with illusions.
In "Heroes of Newerth" Monkey King version, he used his iconic stuff, Ruyi Jingu Bang, to knock back enemies and smash earth. He also used cloud to travel faster on the map. In "League of Legends", the utilization of his stuff is his ultimate ability, which is called the Cyclone. It is very similar to Juggernaut's Blade Fury in "Dota 2 Monkey King."
Other abilities expected for the "Dota 2 Monkey King" are his strategic way of fighting from the novel "Journey to the West" and he might also have the power to disguise himself. His "Dota 2" version's voice has been contributed by Matt Mercer. The new hero will be seen in a new avatar with more mischievous and manipulative manner.
