Reports about Hideo Kojima's upcoming adventure game, "Death Stranding", not getting released in PlayStation 4 had gamers panicking for a moment. News about the "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" creator and game publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment not being in good terms have surfaced, sparking rumors that the game creator will no longer design "Death Stranding" to be playable on PS4.
Redditors took to the forums to discuss if the rumors are true and the majority are not convinced. So far, "Death Stranding" is very much going to be a PS4-exclusive game and Hideo Kojima's relationship with Sony isn't on the rocks in any way. Recently, an interview with a financial services analyst even revealed that Sony's partnership with the "Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain" developer is a "pretty safe bet."
Speaking to Gaming Bolt, analyst Michael Pachter said that he is expecting Hideo Kojima's "Death Stranding" to be a "beautiful" and "phenomenal" game, knowing that Sony is also collaborating. "So I'll play it, I'll buy it. And if I hate it, then I won't buy Death Stranding 2. But honestly, I think they're going to do very, very well. I think this is the guy you wanna have a partnership with. He's just great," Pachter said of Kojima.
There are still some people who are unsure about "Death Stranding," but knowing Hideo Kojima is a great developer, something wonderful is expected from the project. The game is assumed to be still in the early stages of development. What's known at this point is that the game will be exclusive to Sony PlayStation 4 and that Norman Reedus will play as the protagonist. Kojima also confidently described the game to be his "best work."
At the moment, fans are still confused about the mysterious "Death Stranding." Hideo Kojima is expected to give more details about its plot and gameplay soon. A full reveal of the game is expected at E3 2017.
