Honkong Disneyland will be the first Disney theme park to feature "The Iron Man Experience". Disney has recently bought the all the rights to the Marvel comic's character, and this newest attraction is set to open in January 2017. The Marvel-themed attraction will feature Tony Stark as the Iron Man fighting against Hydra across the streets of Hongkong in a 4D ride.
Tony Stark will also be the tour guide in "The Iron Man Experience" while he is flying through some places in the West Kowloon. According to the Nerdist, those going in the attraction need to wear a pair of StarkVision glasses to ride an Iron Wing flight vehicle which leads to the Hong Kong Stark Tower. Here, riders can see the world's biggest Arc Reactor.
In the Stark Expo Shop, there will be displays of Tony Stark's creations in the Hall of Legacy, Hall of Protection, Hall of Energy and Hall of Mobility. There will also be over 70 Iron Man items that are only available in "The Iron Man Experience" in Hongkong Disneyland.
"The Iron Man Experience" will not only feature the 4D ride, but tourists will also be able to wear the Iron Man suit in an interactive game called "Become Iron Man at The Stark Expo". A 35-second video with the suit will be obtained along with the purchase.
"The Iron Man Experience" attraction will be located in Disney theme park's Tomorrowland vicinity which was took three years to build. Last Monday, Hongkong Disneyland released a video showing a sneak preview of "The Iron Man Experience" including portions of the "long-gestating simulator ride" in a report by Entertainment Weekly.
"I think the audience in Hong Kong will go crazy for this experience," Iron Man Creator Stan Lee said in "The Iron Man Experience" video. "Anybody who goes to a Disney theme park loves color and spectacle and excitement and adventure, and that's all that Iron Man is," he said.
