Surely, "The Last of Us 2" may be the one thing that fans of the original cannot resist. However, as the years pass, there seems to be little room for the title's spawning-but the fans certainly do not have it in them to say never.
As many may now know, "The Last of Us 2" has been an idea that struck many since the success of the first game. That being said, the rumor mill seems to continue churning, showing signs that may or may not signify something about the sequel.
According to recent reports, one of the most suspicious yet reasonable giveaways before would be the statement of Nolan North regarding "The Last of Us 2" being in development. This was immediately taken back, which insinuates more speculations that the game might be under development. The leaks, or even mistakes, seem to continue on soon even after the aforesaid statements.
Other reports in the past claim that there are people who work on "The Last of Us 2" in secret and not entirely in teams. Despite potential secrecy, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann divulged that he and Bruce Straley have tackled ideas for "The Last of Us 2," but have not come to a conclusion just yet. Speculations have risen stating that story-wise, the sequel will no longer have Joel and Ellie as the protagonists and could have a whole new turn entirely. Others claim that it will no longer have Joel, and Ellie will be the one to continue on her journey.
"The Last of Us 2" still has no apparent release date just yet. That being said, fans of the original are urged to stay firm with the existing game, keep their fingers crossed and wait for further announcements from Naughty Dog. Keep posted for more news and updates here at GamenGuide.
