‘Dragon Ball Super’ Latest News & Update: 'Dragon Ball Z' Fighters Are Back After Two Decades; Goku's Saiyan Powers Are Gone?

The unique series and films of "Dragon Ball Super" series makes enthusiasts feel as if Goku and the company never really left. However, there are claims arising that the Z fighters after nearly two decades are finally back. A new Japanese series production has officially begun as well.

Back to where the series of films left off. The new series takes place at the event of "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F" which will debut this July in Japan.For a moment, no details yet for an American re-release. The way Cartoon Network popularize and re-dubbed the series stateside. "Dragon Ball Super," it will pick up Goku's battle with Majin Buu to mantain earth's peace.

Akira Toriyama, the original "Dragon Ball" creator will supervise the new series under Fuji Television. The series last debuted its new episodes in the mid-90. While the old "Dragon Ball Z" episodes where largely repackaged by 2009's Dragon Bal kai, according to Screen Crush.

"Dragon Ball Super", a new series following the acclaimed "Dragon Ball Z" series, has been announced and currently in development. Super, the first instalment of "Dragon Bal"l franchise in nearly 20 years, takes place after Goku-the primary hero of the series-defeat Majin Buu, the primary enemy of the series last season. So far, nothing has been announce about the plot.

According to reports, other than the fact that after Majin Buu's destruction the world become a peaceful place. Also, no information are given regarding the series as it takes place before or after "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods."  It's also unclear if this series will connect the gap between "Dragon Ball Z" and "Dragon Ball GT".
