We're a couple of days away in following the release date of the highly anticipated stealth action-adventure game "Dishonored 2," and players are already loving it. The Arkane game focuses on stealth and encourages gamers to get creative. The recent release and follow up to its 2012 predecessor builds up to what "Dishonored" is truly about, and it's getting fans truly excited.
Over at Gamespot, Scott Butterworth reports that "Dishonored 2" successfully built upon what already worked in the 2012 debut. While the Arkane game focuses on stealth, it doesn't recycle "Dishonored," but instead offers fans a slew of new weapons and gadgets and new ways to level up and upgrade.
What's even more interesting with "Dishonored 2" is the fact that there's a new hero in town, and she comes in the form of Empress Emily. For those who prefer playing as Corvo, that's totally find, but Arkane encourages gamers to get creative. Try a hand at Emily and you'll find out how awesome the Domino trick is. It's a move that lets you target one, but affects so many other enemies as well.
As the Arkane game focuses on stealth, "Dishonored 2" gamers can also try a hand at Emily's version of Corvo's teleportation abilities. Hers is called Far Reach, and she's also equipped with Mesmerize, which can hypnotize her opponents. "Dishonored 2" truly encourages gamers to get creative with their attacks, which is something that's truly exciting for fans.
Despite the addition of Emily as a playable character, "Dishonored 2" still feels very familiar but not at all boring. GQ's Sam White credits Arkane for placing Emily at the heart of the game. Now that she's older and more experienced in battle, she's definitely ready to get in on the action. The fascinating thing about the addition of her character is how her abilities make her "a truly distinct part of the game’s personality."
"Dishonored 2" is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Share your gaming experiences with the new Arkane game and let us know what you'd like to see more of in the game.
