'Limitless' Season 2 Air Date, News, & Update: Cancellation Confirmed; Showrunners Bradly Cooper And Craig Sweeny Renewal Petition Rejected

Showrunners Bradly Cooper and Craig Sweeny are reportedly having negotiations with other TV networks for the renewal of "Limitless" season 2. Now, reports are claiming that their petition has been strongly rejected, as the show is not obtaining a good rating.

The cancellation reports are now causing frustration among the avid fans of "Limitless". There are numerous rumors that the series is too much restricted to theme of a certain powerful drug, NZT, which is preventing the story to move past the NZT drug theme.

According to Gamenguide, there is now a movement from the fans to renew "Limitless" for season 2, with the goal of reaching 35, 000. Now, the show only needs 1,000 signatures from fans so that it can be extended to another season.

However, it's not just the fans who have joined the movement. Showrunners Cooper and Sweeny have negotiated with some of the top TV networks, such as CW, Netflix, and NBC, hoping that "Limitless" can still proceed with its renewal.

According to reports, Cooper and Sweeny were rejected by the said networks, thus, confirming the series' cancellation. Furthermore, the TV networks doubt that the Limitless Season 2 can acquire more viewers, considering its limited plot.

As a matter of fact, insiders have revealed that the series is insinuating that the use of drugs is acceptable, and viewers might get the wrong idea, Mobi Picker reports. However, as fans are moving on with the petition of Limitless season 2, CBS might give the series another chance.
