In 2014, Fernando Alonso left Scuderia Ferrari to join McLaren with still two more years left on his contract. Alonso has reportedly grown tired of Ferrari's inability to win an F1 world title. Now, the Italian media is feasting on the same fate Sebastian Vettel is experiencing with Ferrari.
According to Skysports, Fernando Alonso thinks that Sebastian Vettel is having a worse situation than him when he was still with the Ferrari team. Throughout the F1 Mexican Grand Prix, Vettel was reported to be too frustrated that he let out a lot of expletive radio messages.
In an interview with Ted Kravitz, Fernando Alonso said that he did not go through the frustrations that Sebastian Vettel is going through in the hands of Ferrari. He recalled that he was leading the championship in F1 Abu Dhabi in 2010 and even until the 10 laps in F1 Brazil in 2012.
When Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel's stats in the F1 race is compared, fans can see that for two years, Alonso has won six while Vettel has only three. The former got to stand on the podium 20 times while the latter is short of one. Championship position for the ex-Ferrari racer is second and fourth, while the current race is in third and fourth. However, Sebastian Vettel has still a chance to level up since the season is still ongoing.
Fernando Alonso has never been swayed to think that he made a wrong decision to transfer to McLaren from Ferrari. Since McLaren's reunion with Honda, the team has never got a chance to stand on the podium. However, Sebastian Vettel still has the chance to finish third place in the F1 Constructor's Cup.
During the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix practice, Alfonso Fernando was forced to pull out from the track when his McLaren was found to have a data anomaly in the ERS water pressure. The once Ferrari driver said that fans should be paid to watch boring cars. He added that F1 race cars should be too fast that fans cannot close their mouth after passing by.
