Nintendo Console Latest News & Update: Switch Replaces Wii U
Nintendo has gained from its newest NES Classic Edition, the remake of its 1980 machine. This hit United States market since last Friday for only $59.99. It is packed with 30 games such as "Super Mario" and "Legend of Zelda." The video game manufacturer also scored success in the recent and trending "Pokemon Go." It is an augmented reality game on smartphones that has enticed a lot of people of all ages worldwide.
Despite the previous success, Nintendo has also suffered due to the lagging sales and low earnings of its Wii U and 3DS. With regards to sales, Wii U has failed. The console did not even manage to reach GameCube figures. This makes Wii U as the worst-selling console that Nintendo has launched. Though it has great games like "Bayonetta 2," "Splatoon" and "Super Smash Bros," Wii U's biggest problems are its gamepad and timing. The market from 2006 to 2012 has also shifted greatly to high-technology consoles. All these drives Nintendo to stop all Wii U production and shift to Switch that will be released in March 2017.
