The Nintendo 3DS will be getting a price rollback on Black Friday. The deal will be offered for two new special-edition designs. However, it is yet to be revealed whether the Nov. 25 deal will be temporary with no end date announced.
Nintendo recently confirmed a Black Friday deal featuring their newest handheld, the Nintendo 3DS. The device will be available for only $99.99 on Nov. 25 in two new special-edition designs. This is said to be the first time that a 3DS model will be available for less than $100. In addition, the Nintendo 2DS got a price reduction of $79.99 in mid-May this year.
Nintendo is reportedly set on marking the occasion with the release of the Nintendo 3DS in its new design. The handheld is slated to feature Mushroom Kingdom artwork with characters like Mario and Toad. New items like Fire Flower will also be available in black and white, Polygon reported.
It is yet to be announced whether or not Nintendo will be rolling out a temporary deal on the Nintendo 3DS for the Black Friday weekend. The company has not yet given a specific end date for its offer. It is also unclear if the reduced price applies only to the special-edition hardware of if all the non-XL New 3DS systems will also receive a price markdown.
Meanwhile, a free mythical pokemon is slated to be available for Nintendo 3DS download. The rare Genesect Pokemon will be free to download for a limited time period. This is said to be in celebration of Nintendo's special anniversary, according to report.
Nintendo 3Ds gamers with the gaming titles, "Pokemon X and Y", "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and "Pokemon Omega Ruby" will reportedly be given until Nov. 24 to use their codes. After inputting the code, the free Genesect will be retrieved in the in-game Pokemon Center. A vacant slot is required to accommodate the free creature.
