A petition for "Limitless" Season 2 has been started by fans and viewers of the crime TV series on CBS. With a succeeding season appearing to be negative for the network, fans are insisting that it deserves a followup.
Petition for Season 2
Dubbed "Renew Limitless Season 2," the petition on Care2 Petitions asked CBS to make another installment for the television show noting that Season 1 was "great." As of Thursday morning, the petition has gathered more than 33,000 signatures.
Erik V., one of the thousands who signed the petition, said that he loved watching "Limitless" Season 1. "It's incredibly hard for me to believe that these networks think the plot is too complicated, or hard to follow," he added. Others noted that there should be another season because it is a rare type of TV show.
"Limitless" cancellation final
"Limitless" writer-producer Craig Sweeny has confirmed that the show has been cancelled and reiterated to fans that there that a renewal may not be possible. He also thanked the viewers that supported the show for the first season.
Last May, the team behind the show said they were unable to land a home for "Limitless" Season 2 forcing them to end the TV series. There were reports that CBS talked to Amazon and Netflix with hopes that they can accommodate the show. However, no streaming service was interested in continuing it.
Low ratings
"Limitless" did not rake the ratings expected from it by the television network. One factor that has contributed to its early cancellation was because it was up against bigger and more popular shows like "NCIS".
Even though, there is a very slim chance that the show will be renewed for a season, many fans are still hoping for a miracle and for CBS to listen to their pleas. Do you think there should be a "Limitless" Season 2?
