Nina Dobrev is reported to come back to reprise the role of Elena in the last season of "Vampire Diaries". However, the doppelganger raised some terms and condition for her return in the series.
The "Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has already hit the small screens, and from the screening of the previous episodes, Nina Dobrev has not yet joined the cast. It was reported that Julie Plec, the series' producer, would include in the storyline, the reunion of the original casts, especially, Damon and Elena.
Following the previous the seasons of "Vampire Diaries", the relationship of Damon and Elena has become an important part of the story's plot. The viewers were able to connect with them, which losing one of them would entirely put the plot into jeopardy. Gamenguide previously reported that Nina's return will only be in flashbacks.
However, Julie Plec has recently announce that without Nina's character on the show would place the series in a very devastating situation, Digital Spy reports. Nina Dobrev's presence in Vampire diaries is very crucial in maintaining the show's momentum.
According to reports, Nina has made serious negotiations with Julie Plec, if she is returning to the set of "Vampire Diaries". Nina would return if her ex will also exit the show. Nina and Damon have not really mended their hostilities toward each other, and their relationship never going to improve.
Insiders have also disclosed that Ian is not at all happy if he and Nina should work, even if it's the last time they do. With the negotiation going on, Julie is now looking for ways to adjust the storyline, especially now that there are fewer episodes approved for Vampire Diaries Season 8. Plec is hopeful that she does not have to choose between the two.
Though these reports seems valid, Nina and Plec have not really commented on this issue.
