The game developers of "Metro" are at it again and are planning to develop another game for their franchise. 4A plans to launch the next "Metro" title next year with the title being the last novel by "Metro" writer, Dmitry Glukhovsky.
New 'Metro' Game At Works?
On the official webpage of "Metro", timelines of the novels and game titles are posted on the webpage with the inclusion of the events of each one. The official site also teased stating "It all adds up to something. Where the books end their story, the game picks it up", and adding the phrase "an era of great discoveries lies ahead."
According to GameSpot, the publication tried contacting Deep Silver, the "Metro" game franchise's publisher to gain more information about the upcoming game title. But, it turns out Deep Silver is still silent about "Metro" being developed or even stating about a release date for the game title.
Meanwhile, the "Metro" game developers, 4A Games recently announced an Oculus Rift-exclusive post-apocalyptic game known as "Arktica 1." "Arktica 1" is based solely to the "Metro" game title and is also set in a Soviet Union nuclear ice age world as Eurogamer reports.
On other news, a statement was released by 4A creative director Andriy Prokhorovocotober states "Arktika 1" is one of two project the developers are making right now. The creative director added that 4A is not ready to talk about the other project right now and tells fans to be patient for "Metro."
For now, fans of the post-apocalyptic world of "Metro can play "Metro: Redux", a remastered version of both "Metro 2033" and "Metro: Last Light" for the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC. For more "Metro" news and update stay tuned to Gamenguide!
