We got our first look at the revamped trailer for Final Fantasy X at the end of last month, and now Square Enix is offering up screenshots for the other game to be included alongside it, Final Fantasy X-2 HD.
Riiku, Yuna, and Paine are all there in the various Charlie's Angels poses and J-pop outfits. X-2 made history as the first direct sequel for the franchise's. In it, Yuna traded in her summoning staff for a pair of pistols and a microphone. Does that count as machina? I get that banishing a world ending monster and destroying a religion in the process will guarantee anyone at least 15 minutes of fame, but a pop star? Eh...welcome to Final Fantasy.
FFX's Yuna and Rikku team up with newcomer Paine to uncover Spira's history and apparently sing a few ditties along the way, something something, maybe Tidus wasn't a dream after all. Throw in some ancient dopplegangers and a doomsday weapon, and there you have it. Weird plot aside, the screenshots are without a doubt, stunning. Check 'em out below.
Both games are planned for release on PS3 and PS Vita in one package later this year.
