Actor Claran Hinds notably known for his performance as Mance Ryder in the series Game of Thrones will now play Steppenwolf, the big villain in the upcoming Justice League movie.
The Game of Thrones actor has been cast as the main villain Steppenwolf, the uncle of Detective Comics (DC) most well known characters Darkseid and the military leader of Apokolips in the upcoming Justice League movie according to an exclusive insight via The Wrap.
Steppenwolf was previously seen in a deleted scene of Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice as the entity met by Lex Luthor ( Jesse Eisenberg). Previous reports states that Stepphenwolf's storyline will for the upcoming Justice League movie will follow his new 52 exploits.In particular, Earth 2: World's End Volume 1.
According to a synopsis of Earth 2: World's End Volume 1, five years ago, forces of Apokolips known as Parademons appeared on Earth and is led by the villain Steppenwolf destroying the entire countries but, Earth's protectors, the Justice League fought back. Among them were Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
Claran Hinds is set to portray Steppenwolf who will be upgraded in terms of his appearance for the upcoming Justice League movie. The Game of Thrones actor will be portraying the role through motion capture.
The upcoming Justice League movie is directed by Zach Snyder, which will be a part of the Detective Comics Extended Universe (DCEU), features Ben Afleck (Batman), Henry Cavill ( Superman) Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Erza Miller,(The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg.). Justice League will be released on November 17, 2017.
