There seems to be no patch over the horizon for “Fallout 4” with Bethesda VP Pete Hines making it clear that they are done with the game since Nuka World. This is despite hope from players that the company would give some a break, particularly in the area of frame rate improvement.
In a previous post, it was speculated that Bethesda could be coming out with a new DLC though this was tied up to address Bethesda.net mods for the PS4. The problem at the time was that the patch created added problems, affecting Nuka-World which saw some mystery bugs pop out.
But like most games, “Fallout 4” isn’t spared from additional problems and most players are hoping to catch a break for low frame rates which could be up for the PS4 Pro. While that could make sense for those suffering from motion-sickness, Hines puts his feet down and shoots down the idea.
According to his response on Twitter, the Bethesda VP made it clear that they were done with improvements for “Fallout 4”. After the Nuka World DLC, the company finds no reason to go back to the game and make further improvements, Gaming Bolt reported.
That said, it seems obvious that Bethesda would rather move forward than backward. No actual game titles have been mentioned for now but the common understanding is that Bethesda is looking to broaden its IP lineup with new game offering.
“Fallout 4” came out in 2015 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One and proved to be one of the best games under the Bethesda umbrella. 12 million copies were shipped inside 24 hours and the company has since added content with “Far Harbor” and “Nuka-World”.
If ever new changes would come, it could follow the same route as “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” which came out with a remastered version. It may be too early to tell but it could be a sensible recourse.
