Nick Torres will be breaking protocol in the next episode of "NCIS” Season 14. He will go out of his way to find the truth about a witness who is wanted by the U.S. Immigration in the upcoming episode titled "Home of the Brave".
According to the official synopsis of the “NCIS” episode, Torres will brazenly break protocol on a case he will be working on when he finds out something about the important witness. Meanwhile, Bishop, McGee and Abby will attempt to convince DiNozzo’s (former cast member Michael Weatherly) dad, Tony Sr.(Robert Wagner) to sublet his son’s apartment.
Weatherly left “NCIS” after 13 seasons to focus on his new series titled “Bull”, also on CBS. In an interview with TV Guide, he pitched the idea of him doing his character of Tony DiNozzo in his new show. He added that they can do this using split screen where his two characters will be able to talk to one another.
The topic of Weatherly coming back to “NCIS” may be due to the long running show being rumored to be on the verge of cancellation. Talks have it that the ratings have been going down since Weatherly’s departure from the series.
Another possibility of the actor being able to return to “NCIS” is if the show will do a crossover episode with his new series. This could be possible if his old character of Di Nozzo will be revealed to have taken the identity of Dr. Jason Bull, his new character in the new series.
Elsewhere in the “NCIS” world, The Wrap reports that due to the unexpected death of its EP Gary Glasberg in September, a major shake-up happened behind the scenes. Longtime producers of the
Series, George Schenck and Frank Carde, were recently appointed by CBS to helm the series.
This is certainly a welcome development since Schenck and Carde have been with “NCIS” since the first season. They have also written more than 50 episodes for the show together. The two have been writing partners since 1977 and before “NCIS”, they also created and executive produced many shows together such as “Crazy Like a Fox” and “Bring ‘Em Back Alive”.
Because of the election coverage of CBS this Tuesday, episode 7 of "NCIS" Season 14 will be aired on November 15.
