The year 2016 is a not so good year for Samsung. It can be claimed as one of the company's low points. There were a huge number of complaints regarding its newly released smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note 7,as the said high-end gadget caches fire while charging. They, however, are now looking forward to redeeming its name next year.
Almost All Recalls Refunded!
Almost 85% of all recalled Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units have been replaced by the US Note 7 Refund and Exchange Program. Under this voluntary recall, users are eligible for a replacement of another Samsung gadget or simply get a refund.
Indian Express cited that the recall with US Consumer Product Safety Commissions started last October 13. The company continuously and strongly advice Samsung Galaxy Note 7 users who haven't participated with the replacement-refund program to power down their phone and contact Samsung as soon as possible.
The giant company did not stop collecting Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in the market for the said recall. Also, they have been developing a software update that will limit the smartphone to charge beyond 60 percent. The update includes having a pop-up notification each time the user charges, reboot or just turning the screen on.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall cost the giant company billions of dollars. It also put the company's good name into a not so good position. Resulting to this, surveys said that half of the high-tech device users chose to have an Apple iPhone instead of using another Samsung smartphone.
