Since its release back in July, "Pokemon GO" has been gracing gamers and fans a slew of exciting updates that make playing the game even more fun. The newest Update 0.45.0 reportedly features 100 new Pokemon names from Gen 2. How is this possible? Read on to find out.
Heavy is reporting that 100 new Pokemon names from Gen 2 are referenced in the code of Update 0.45.0 for "Pokemon GO." Some gamers and fans strongly believe that the list of names present in the code of Update 0.45.0 are, in fact, from Gen 2. There is an interesting addition to the code, with Pokedex #152 or "Chikorita" up to Pokedex #251 or "Celebi."
"Pokemon GO" players who have noticed the code also noted that there aren't any movesets in the code of Update 0.45.0 alongside the new species, which means the moves aren't available just yet. This may imply that the 100 new Pokemon names from Gen 2 may require a server-and-client-side update from Niantic. The studio remains tight lipped about this discovery, however.
Meanwhile, The Silph Road took to Reddit to share the list of 100 new Pokemon names from Gen 2 that seem to appear in Update 0.45.0. Such Pokemon creatures include Bayleef, Meganium, Cyndaquil, Quilava, Typhlosion, Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr, Sentret, Furret, Noctowl, Spinarak, Lanturn, Igglybuff, and Azumarill, among many others.
Speaking of "Pokemon GO" updates, Engadget reports that gamers and fans should look out for upcoming updates that will feature a daily bonus and streak bonus scheme. The new update will also include the bug fix for the game when a gamer takes over a gym even if he or she hasn't beaten the previous owner. As for Update 0.45.0, fans will have to wait to find out what the 100 new Pokemon names from Gen 2 mean. Keep checking back for the latest on "Pokemon GO."
