With a much-unexpected ending of "The Fall" Season 3, fans are now wondering if Stella Gibson's (Gillian Anderson) story will continue with a different tale. It is very likely that viewers will be treated with "The Fall" Season 4, but it might not be the same like its original narrative.
Will There Be 'The Fall' Season 4?
In an interview with the series creator Allan Cubitt, he said that they are all interested in creating "The Fall" Season 4, but this time, it would be without Paul Spector (Jamie Dornan). To recall, the crazy sexy serial killer decided to kill himself using a plastic bag.
"I don't think I'm giving much away in saying it's Jamie's last season," he said. Evidently, Gillian Anderson's role as Stella proves that she has a strong character that can go solo and stand on her own in "The Fall" Season 4.
Of course, it would be quite strange for the fans to see "The Fall" Season 4 without Jamie Dornan. Without Paul, the show's new chapter has no reason to still be set in Belfast, Ireland. Does this mean "The Fall" Season 4 will be filmed in a different country?
"I do have some thoughts," Allan Cubitt revealed. However, he also admitted that he is still busy doing other projects, so "The Fall" Season 4 won't be right away seen. Well at least, fans have something to hold on to.
Possible Stories That Can Be Explored In 'The Fall' Season 4
Meanwhile, Digital Spy noted a lot of intriguing questions that can be answered in the coming "The Fall" Season 4. As Paul is now dead, some are interested to know what will happen to Stella now that the case is closed.
There are different situations that could be explored in Stella's story in "The Fall" Season 4. Her past relationship with Jim Burns (John Lynch) is still a mystery along with the Police Ombudsman's investigation the way she handled Paul's lawsuit.
Another one that intrigues the fans is Katie Benedetto's (Aisling Franciosi) obsession with Paul. Will her fascination go too far that she can become the new serial killer in "The Fall" Season 4?
As Paul's death took its toll on Katie, Stella advised the latter to move on with her life and leave the fantasy world that she's into. However, it will be her choice if she wants to stay in the madness she's living and follows Paul's footsteps or remove the memories she had with him.
