Techland, makers of Dead Island, just put up a blog post detailing their latest game, Hellraid.
The game looks to be a mix of Diablo and Rogue that is meant to be played co-op and is in first person. Expect it to have lots of challenges to beat and lots of loot to compare. They're calling it a "first-person co-op slasher.' As the devs put it:
"From the first-person perspective, player will be drawn into the game’s unique fantasy world right from the start to experience an entirely new level of hack & slash action. Our combat system is also far more advanced than simple repetitive clicking as it needs precision and good timing when striking enemies and parrying their attacks while the blood splashes all around – that’s why we use the term slasher."
There will be the usual classes: Warrior, Paladin, Mage and Rogue. Warriors will use swords and axes, Paladins will heal and protect with their magic, Mages will use their staffs to burn, freeze and electrocute and Rogues will use a crossbow.
The game is coming out this year on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
