When Apple introduced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the company also announced they are removing the headphone jack and unveiled the Apple AirPods. The wireless earphones have been one of the most talked about accessories of the company.
2016 release
Revealed in September, the Apple AirPods, which is promised by CEO Tim Cook to stay attached to your ears even when dancing, is expected to come later this year, not in January 2017 as earlier reported. Sources claim that the company is targeting the end of 2016 to release the wireless headset.
"Sources familiar with the company's plans indicated that internally, there is no official delay until January for shipment of the wireless earbuds," said AppleInsider in its report. It added that the company will not delay its release to January.
Delayed availability
Though Apple did not reveal when the AirPods would be released, it earlier claimed that it will become available earlier in October. When the device did not come, Apple said they needed more time to prepare the product before they can release it.
With the new wireless audio technology, Apple hopes to introduce something that the company sees will hit in the future. The AirPods will bring high-quality audio experience and can be paired to any Apple device like the iPhones, iPad and even Mac gadgets.
Siri also helps AirPod users select music, change the volume and check the battery of the device. It is also equipped with an accelerometer which helps detect the voice of the AirPod user.
Price details
For $159, an Apple user can enjoy high-quality music without any effect to sound quality using its Bluetooth connectivity. It also contains a W1 wireless chip which helps in transferring and recognizing music that goes through the AirPods.
The glue in the AirPods' operation is its W1 wireless chip, which includes the radios to transfer music from the iPhone to the AirPods. The chip can process AirPods' audio codecs, provide stereo synchronization, and handle user controls.
