The protest affected "Criminal Minds" that many of the fans did not watch the series anymore which also causes the series ratings has dropped off, though it does not hold any consequences with the series.
It has already been announced that Gibson will no longer be joining the "Criminal Minds" Season 12. Though it will always be remembered by the fans that Gibson also contributed much on the show's success.
