According to PC Gamer, Crimson Edition 16.11.2 for Radeon Graphics boosts the storage cap on shader collection. This allows improved storage and reuse of locally saved shaders. This is beneficial for extremely demanding games that have hit the old storage cap such as "Infinite Warfare" and "Modern Warfare Remastered." The software supports Forza Horizon 3 and comes with a new DirectX 11 Crossfire profile.
According to PC Invasion, Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.11.2 allows users to play demanding video games like "Modern Warfare Remastered" and "Infinite Warfare." Its DirectX11 Crossfire profile also supports "Titanfall 2" and resolves issues of surface flickering in "Battlefield 1." It also sorts out 390 crash in OpenGL mode of Unigine's Heaven benchmark.

Crimson Edition 16.11.2 for Radeon graphics has the following issues fixed. Microsoft Office applications can now migrate to iGPU on unplugs using AMD XConnect Technology. It has fixed issues of flickering in Battlefield 1 and application freeze in "The Division" during long usage in AMD CrossFire mode. It also fixed issues of crashing and application hang in Radeon R9 390 graphics series when running Unigine Heaven in OpenGL mode. Radeon Software popup error in Radeon WattMan and OBS screen capture shuttering have also been fixed with Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.11.2.
Known issues with Crimson Edition 16.11.2 include failure of game title launching, performance issues and crash when game overlay with Raptr. If players experience this, they should disable the overlay. Players of "DOTA 2" that use the Vulkan API may also experience a crash. Intermittent popup of application error message that cites removal of graphics device may also be experienced by "Battlefield 1" players. Flickering may also be experienced when playing "Overwatch" in the main menu or viewing character models in AMD Crossfire mode.
