Blizzcon kicked off yesterday with a handful of "Diablo" updates in celebration of the game's 20th anniversary.
The event revealed new surprises for their most successful franchises such as the "World of Warcraft," "Heroes of The Storm," "Starcraft 2," "Hearthstone: Heroes Of Warcraft," and "Overwatch." Among the highly anticipated games, Blizzard announced the arrival of "Diablo III" in 2017. What makes it more exciting is the company's plan to bring back the Necromancer class in the upcoming game through a downloadable content (DLC) named the "Rise of the Necromancer".
Diablo 3 Necromancer
Although Blizzard didn't reveal anything about the Necromancer's abilities yet, a screenshot from Blizzcon 2016 which was reported by Eurogamer reveals the details about the Necromancer.
As per publication, the Necromancer can do bone crushing abilities such as Corpse Explosion (target an area exploding all corpses), Blood Rush allowing the player to pass through any obstacles, Siphon Blood that drains the enemies blood and replenishes the player's life, Bone Spear, Decripify slowing down enemy's movement speed and Command Skeletons to attack the target.
Aside from the Necromancer, players will receive an in-game pet, two additional character slots, stash tabs, a portrait frame, pennant, banner and banner sigil. It is interesting to see what else comes along with the Necromancer knowing it is a paid content.
Overwatch's New Hero "Sombre" Revealed
After months of waiting in anticipation, Overwatch's new hero "Sombra" lands in the game. In Overwatch's story, Sombra is a member of a gang in Mexico that works with the dreaded Talon Organization along with the characters Reaper and Widow Maker.
The announcement came in with an animated story from Overwatch. Sombra is classified as an offense character with impressive hacking abilities. Her hack ability allows her to temporarily disable opponents and enable health packs, TheVerge reported.
Sombra also carries a Themoptic Camo power that allows her to hide under a cloak and a Translocator power that lets her teleport through any beacon. Her EMP ability discharges electromagnetic energy in a wide radius destroying the enemy's shields and barriers.
During the past few months, Blizzard has built up anticipation with its new features through coded messages that left fans picking up the trail. Sombra will be available on Overwatch's Public Test Region server for PC gamers next week. Its primary released is scheduled to be unveiled in 2017.
