"iZombie" Season 3 hasn't aired yet but the upcoming season is rumored to be the last of the series. However, showrunner Rob Thomas has stepped up to address these rumors, denying that the series is not airing its final season.
There had been reports claiming that fans will see the last of Liv (Rose McIver) and the gang in "iZombie" Season 3. For one, it is believed that Liv will finally have a happy ending considering that Major (Robert Buckley) has turned into a zombie. A happy ending reunion between the two love birds will be a good way to end the show, rumors suggested. In addition, the third season has been assigned a midseason premiere, as opposed to having an October premiere date like in season 2. Also, the previous season's numbers are not so high compared to the pilot season.
Amidst these rumors, showrunner Rob Thomas has taken to Twitter to confirm that "iZombie" Season 3" is not the final season and even cited the article that spread the information. With Rob Thomas' statement, it should be an assurance to fans that "iZombie" will continue on, possibly with more seasons.
Meanwhile, cast members Robert Buckley and Rahul Kohli gave a tour to the "iZombie" Season 3 sets, featuring Filmore Graves Enterprises, a private military contractor that employs undead and The Scratching Post, the underground bar for zombies. Rob Thomas already explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly how The Scratching Post came to be. "The number of zombies in Seattle is going up at an alarming rate, and it's high time someone capitalized on the undead's desire to socialize with their own kind," the showrunner said.
New episodes of "iZombie" Season 3 are expected sometime in 2017. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more updates!
