Electronic Arts announced that "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" by DICE will be coming in fall 2017. Blake Jorgensen, EA chief financial officer, confirmed the arrival of "Star Wars: Battlefront 2," and that they are doing their best to ensure that they come up with an extremely deep and engaging sequel.
"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" Release Date Confirmed
Polygon reported that previously, EA announced that "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will launch between April and December 2017. The first game, which was a reboot of the 2004 series, launched in November 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
Jorgensen teased that they will most likely feature one Star Wars title every year until 2020. "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will allegedly feature bigger and better worlds, compare to the first game, and will also be inspired by newer Star Wars films.
"Star Wars Battlefront 2" will most likely feature several similar elements that made its predecessor quite successful. There will most likely be familiar characters from the first game, with the addition of new ones based on the latest "Star Wars" movies.
Fans can also expect missions based on specific events from the saga. "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" is also very likely to feature expansions via DLC after the main launch.
"Star Wars Battlefront 2" Updates: Improvements From "Battlefront 1"

EA is also preparing to release the fourth and final expansion for "Star Wars: Battlefront," titled "Rogue One: Scarif." The new "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" DLC will be available in December 2016. In the meantime, other "Star Wars" projects are also in the works by other developers.
Respawn is currently working on a third-person action adventure title, while Dead Space studio is developing another "Star Wars" game, headed by Amy Hennig. EA currently has exclusive rights to all "Star Wars" video game licenses, except for mobile devices.
The official launch date may be announced soon, together with the playable "Star Wars" characters and storyline. EA, DICE and Motive Studios are expected to provide more details about "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" in the coming months.
