Square Enix announced that "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" will be arriving on Android and iOS soon, after they featured a countdown teaser website in October 2016. The upcoming game may follow the same approach as its predecessor.
Gematsu stated that the logo states "Final Fantasy Legends," but the first game was introduced in western markets as "Final Fantasy Dimensions." Game creator Takashi Tokita stated at the end of the teaser trailer that the previous title of the series was "Warriors of Light and Darkness."
Although "Space Time Crystal" followed the same approach, "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" is actually a rebirth. The upcoming game for mobile devices may be known as "Final Fantasy Legends 2" in Japan, and "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" in the West.
'Final Fantasy Dimensions 2' Storyline Explained
In the teaser trailer, Takashi explained that it will be a "Final Fantasy" legend that will unravel in a new space-time. He stated that "Final Fantasy" is about characters full of human traits, and dramatic battles of anger and sadness. Above all, the game is about fantasy.
Crunchy Roll revealed that Takashi will primarily be responsible for the game design of "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2," while Yoshitaka Aman will work on the game illustrations and character designs. There are rumors that "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" may continue the first story and approach, which means that the game will be divided into episodes. The title may still feature two-dimensional graphics and a job ability system.
