If Activision follows through on their plans, there's a good chance you'll be able to play some more Call of Duty on your preferred mobile device sometime in the near future.
Bringing the shooter to tablets and the like is evidently a big interest for publisher Activision. Well, it is for the senior director of their mobile division, Jon Estanislao.
Speaking at the DMW Games conference in Los Angeles, Estanislao says, "We're definitely looking to reach out to our core audience and engage them beyond their TV or PC and then give them new experiences around Call of Duty that are unique for that device." Of course, how they'll accomplish that remains to be seen. But research is currently underway on how to transfer the COD action onto the gadget on the go.
Of course, there is some Call of Duty available on the iPad already. Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is a zombie shooter while Call of Duty: Elite is the game's stat-tacking service.
"From a development perspective, we're investing a lot more in understanding how to marry that together with how customers expect to play on those devices," says Estanislao.
