The tech world is curious about the Motorola X Phone which is heavily anticipated to change the way we understand smartphones. Although not much is known about the phone at this point in time, the rumor mills are abuzz with the X Phone rumors and leaked technical specifications.
Upon seeing the product, Google CEO Larry Page was so impressed with the Motorola smart phone that he described the device as "unbreakable." "When you drop your phone, it shouldn't shatter," Page stated during the Google earnings call and went on to say the he is really excited about the company's potential in inventing new and enhanced smart phone experiences.
We have come across a whole lot of unconfirmed release dates recently; however, it's rumored that Google may debut its phone two or three months after the iPhone 5S is launched. "The iPhone sales reach their peak in the first two months after the debut, then they tend to stagnate or register a slight drop, depending on the smartphones launched by the Apple rivals. This would be the perfect moment for Google to strike," Android Geeks reports. Apple is speculated to release its next-generation iPhone sometime early July which will be available for purchase the same month. So, the Motorola X Phone will see an official release sometime late September or early October.
"Motorola X Phone could be put up for sale at a price ranging from £190 (US$290) to £299 (US$456) with a reported arrival schedule on July 8, 2013. Contradicting reports have emerged as well with some claiming that Motorola X Phone will arrive in August 2013 while the others suggest a November 2013 release date," a report by IBTimes states.
Going into the specifics of the phone, it is rumored to feature a 4.8-inch screen display made from Sapphire Glass which can make the device about three times stronger than the Gorilla Glass screen display. The device will come with a 1080p full HD display although it's not clear if the display will be LCD or OLED. According to various reports, the device will feature a new generation quad-core chipset, offer all-day battery life, massive internal storage.
"Other rumored Motorola X Phone features and specifications include the 2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, a massive 4000mAh battery and the availability of 20 different color choices that consumers can choose from. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor release has been confirmed in the second half of 2013," the report said.
The device is rumored to come with a customizable hardware allowing users to choose the hardware components that will be fitted inside their X Phone units.
