He was known as the teen heartthrob during that time. Danes and DiCaprio brought together a great tandem on the movie. After this project DiCaprio's career has been followed with a big project "Titanic."

Meanwhile, "Romeo and Juliet" was directed by Baz Luhrmann on 1996. Also, Juliet's role was supposedly given to the actress Natalie Portman, but sadly she was forced to drop out after the executives discovered that she was too young for the role, as per ET Online. Portman was replaced by Danes after she proved to be the young capulet on the movie on her audition.
The blockbuster movie, "Romeo and Juliet" hit the box office and earned $46 million, while Danes and DiCaprio also received MTV Movie Award. Claire Dane's support was also manifested as DiCaprio bagged his Oscar award for the movie "The Revenant."
